AH&LEF offers two types of scholarships:

Professional Development
Perfect for individuals currently working at a hotel property who want to advance their career by growing their industry knowledge or skill set, AH&LEF’s professional development scholarships provide assistance for distance learning courses and professional certification. If you are a hotel employee currently enrolled in either of these programs through the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, then you eligible to apply for a scholarship.  Application deadlines are quarterly: January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.  For more information on professional development scholarships, click here.

Academic Scholarships 
If you are enrolled in a U.S. undergrad or graduate hospitality degree program such as hotel/restaurant management, culinary arts, travel/tourism, or hotel administration, you're probably a candidate for an AH&LEF academic scholarship.

This year, the Foundation awarded scholarships to 292 hospitalty management students totaling more than $400,000. The next deadline date for scholarship applications is May 1, 2011.  Applications will be accepted after the first of the year.
