SAA - Scholars Alumni Association
The Foundation supported hospitality management students when they were in school, and we want to help keep their careers on track through the Scholars Alumni Association (SAA).
The SAA strives to create awareness of its members through networking, education, and career development opportunities, positioning members as future hospitality leaders.
The SAA was created exclusively for AH&LEF scholarship recipients to assist former scholars in advancing their hospitality careers, and promote them as "future hospitality leaders" to the industry. Benefits are free to all past AH&LEF scholars. The only requirement is that you keep the Foundation updated on your career progress. In return for completing an annual survey, SAA members will receive a free AH&LA membership for one year.
Locate your colleagues through the SAA Resource Directory. This directory features all SAA members, listing each member's contact information and current position. The Directory is available to SAA members, hospitality recruiters, and professional leaders in the industry. Click here to download the 5th edition of the SAA Directory.
Tap into an online community of SAA members with the SAA message board. Use it to post your questions, comments, and remarks concerning the hospitality industry.
Receive a free subscription to Lodging, AH&LA's management magazine, offering a behind the scenes take on industry trends and developments.
As a member of the SAA, you have opportunities to network with fellow alumni from across the country, opening doors to advance your career. All SAA members are encouraged to attend AH&LA conferences and an annual SAA meeting.
Take advantage of the AH&LA Information Center, which maintains thousands of current articles, books, subscriptions, and surveys that cover the entire industry — from operations and human resources to marketing and advertising. When you have a specific question or need materials for a project, AH&LA's expert researchers can get the answers and materials you need.
Gain recognition as a member of the SAA. By receiving an AH&LEF scholarship you are part of a special group who were selected from among thousands of hospitality management students. AH&LEF works to promote the SAA as a resource for hospitality's brightest professionals through various Foundation publications, promotions, and the Website.
